We were married by Rev. Tom Washington, a colored preacher, and he belonged to Dr. James Garnick. He just read the Bible over us and joined our hands…. He died on Queen St., near Bank St. 11 years ago the 6th of November. He died of the results of a deep cold that worked down on his lungs and was sick abed about a month. Dr. Thorn [sp?]attended him.
