Letter to the Adjutant General, U.S. Army from War Department, Surgeons General’s Office, Washington, DC, 12 November 1885
“[The soldier] was admitted to Post Hospital Brazos Santiago , Texas Oct 12, 1865 with incised wound and returned to duty Nov 12, 1865. The records of Brazos Santiago, Texas from July 1 to Dec 31, 1865 furnish no additional evidence in this case. Such hospital records of the regiment as are on file in this office (consisting of numerical reports) were transferred to the Adjutant General’s Office, Mch 28, 1884.”
