Announcement: We’re back! NARA’s re-opened!

“Spotlight” is going into retirement.

I’ve visited the National Archives in Washington, DC twice since it re-opened last month and was able to review several Civil War pension applications for the 1st U.S. Colored Cavalry. I’m awaiting a response to my request for another appointment.

“First Monday, April 4, 2022” will be posted by 12:05am on that date.
